New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said there is a chance WR Santonio Holmes (foot) could be limited during training camp because of his surgically repaired foot. Ryan said the team wants to make sure Holmes is ready for the start of the regular season.
Fantasy Tip: Holmes likely will return as New York's top receiver but probably will not be a fantasy starter every week next season because the uncertainty the Jets have at quarterback. Owners that have interest in Holmes can look to take him in the middle rounds of their drafts.

The New York Jets want WR Santonio Holmes to renegotiate his contract. He had a team-high $11 million base salary, and $12.5 million cap figure, in 2013. There is no word on whether general manager John Idzik wants Holmes to take a pay cut or restructure. There is offset language in Holmes' contract, meaning if he is released, he can't earn more than $7.5 million.
