The New York Jets have announced the team will honor retired LBs Mo Lewis and Marvin Jones during halftime of the Jets' home opener on Sept. 18, against the Miami Dolphins. Both players spent their entire NFL careers with the Jets before retiring on June 27. "It's rare today to have a player spend his entire career with one team, and in this instance, the Jets have two and it's a tribute to both gentlemen," said Jets general manager Terry Bradway.

Updating a previous report, according to NewYorkJets.com, LB Mo Lewis, who recently signed a contract with the New York Jets so he can officially retire as a Jet, played in 200 regular season games, which places him sixth on the franchise's all-time most career games played list. In addition, Lewis ranks fourth in team history in sacks (52.5) and second in tackles (1,370).
