The Minnesota Twins will continue to give playing time to INFs Trevor Plouffe, Jamey Carroll and Alexi Casilla at third base while 3B Danny Valencia works in the minors. "We're just playing everybody," manager Ron Gardenhire said. "Valencia is down in Triple-A trying to get his stuff right. Plouffe is up here trying to get his stuff right here. So we don't have a total solution. We have people we're going to try to mix and match." Casilla has more work to do at third base, and he's played third just eight times in his career.

Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Monday, May 7, that SS Jamey Carroll and SS Alexi Casilla will both move around the infield, and might even see time at third base.

Minnesota Twins OF Josh Willingham (flu) and 2B Alexi Casilla (shoulder) are not in the lineup Monday, May 7. Willingham has flu-like symptoms and Casilla is dealing with a sore shoulder.

Minnesota Twins 2B Alexi Casilla (knee) received an anti-inflammatory injection in his right knee and is expected to test it out Tuesday, April 3. Casilla said he will be ready by Friday, April 6.

Minnesota Twins 2B Alexi Casilla (knee) was able to work out Sunday, April 1, without any problems. There is no word on when he'll play in a game.

Minnesota Twins 2B Alexi Casilla's (knee) MRI exam showed inflammation in the back of his right knee, and he's being listed as day-to-day. There is no structural damage in his knee.
