Contradicting a previous item, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting the minor league deal signed by Milwaukee Brewers OF Norris Hopper does not include an invitation to spring training.

Jayson Stark, of ESPN.com, reports the Milwaukee Brewers signed free-agent OF Norris Hopper (Nationals) to a minor league deal with an invitation to Spring Training Thursday, Jan. 14. He will make $430,000 if he makes the major league roster.
