Baltimore Orioles pitching coach Mark Connor has announced his resignation Tuesday, June 14, due to personal reasons. Bullpen coach Rick Adair will replace him.

A club source has confirmed that the Baltimore Orioles have hired Mark Connor as their new pitching coach, although the move has not yet been announced publicly, according to Dan Connolly of The Baltimore Sun. Connor attended some of the team's organizational meetings in Phoenix last week.

Texas.Rangers.MLB.com reports the Texas Rangers have announced their field coaching staff for 2007. Joining manager Ron Washington will be hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo, pitching coach Mark Connor, bullpen coach Dom Chiti, third base coach Don Wakamatsu, bench coach Art Howe and infield instructor Gary Pettis.

The Dallas Morning News reports Texas Rangers P Brian J. Anderson (Tommy John surgery) will throw a bullpen session for pitching coach Mark Connor Tuesday, May 9, and could start pitching to hitters in a few days.
