Fri, 24 May 2013 13:36:33 -0700 Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush said he is willing to be a punt returner if the team asks him to handle to role. "You know, for me, I've done it before and I don't mind it," Bush said. "I feel I can still do it if I need to, and if they want me to do it, I'll definitely go out there and return punts."
Wed, 22 May 2013 20:46:51 -0700 Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush was used as a punt returner during organized team activities (OTAs) Wednesday, May 22. WR Terrence Austin, WR Patrick Edwards, RB Steven Miller, WR Mike Thomas and WR Cody Wilson also took turns returning punts. Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners would definitely like to see Bush off punt returns, as it is just extra chance he can become injured. Nothing is engraved in stone just yet, and Bush will still be an outstanding fantasy option, especially in PPR (points per receptions) leagues.
Wed, 22 May 2013 11:46:12 -0700 Detroit Lions RB Mikel Leshoure (undisclosed) was limited to individual drills during organized team activities Wednesday, May 22, because of an undisclosed injury. Fantasy Tip: Leshoure will be used as a change-of-pace back to Reggie Bush and likely will receive carries near the goal line and when Bush needs to rest. He could be an option in later rounds of fantasy drafts.
Mon, 20 May 2013 17:34:01 -0700 Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson is excited RB Reggie Bush signed with the Lions, because it means teams will have to defend the Lions offense differently. "It's going to force them to bring another man down, more than we had last year," Johnson said on Monday. "You know, if you don't, Reggie can make you look foolish in the open field." Fantasy Tip: An improved running game should help the Lions passing game in 2013, and Johnson may be able to get open a bit easier as a result. Johnson still remains the top wide receiver in fantasy football.
Fri, 17 May 2013 10:01:45 -0700 Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush is comfortable in the team's offense, and he's comparing it to the days when he was with the New Orleans Saints. "I've always enjoyed being in the position that I am and doing what I do, being able to split out wide and catch balls so it's great that offenses are going toward that direction," Bush said. Fantasy Tip: Now that he should be effectively used in the passing attack, Bush could approach RB1 levels in point-per-reception leagues. He proved in Miami that he can be a primary back, too, so Detroit will likely use him as such and leave the short-yardage situations to Mikel Leshoure.
Thu, 16 May 2013 12:32:21 -0700 The Detroit Lions could give RB Reggie Bush a limited role as a punt returner this season.
Wed, 17 Apr 2013 07:19:27 -0700 West Virginia WR Tavon Austin, who visited with the Detroit Lions Wednesday, April 17, said he would provide the team with another weapon similar to RB Reggie Bush. "Another type of player like Reggie (Bush). Me and him would probably be twins back there," Austin said.
Tue, 09 Apr 2013 20:00:56 -0700 Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said Tuesday, April 9, that RB Reggie Bush could potentially catch between 60-80 balls in 2013. Fantasy Tip: That's what potential fantasy owners in leagues which reward points per reception (PPR) want to see. Bush should re-emerge as a No. 1 option in those formats, and a No. 2 fantasy option in standard leagues.
Tue, 26 Mar 2013 11:07:22 -0700 Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said all three of the teams running backs, Reggie Bush, Mikel Leshoure, and Joique Bell, will have a role in 2013. "Joique runs the ball a little bit different than Mikel, but they both run a little bit different and present different things than Reggie, and I think that combination of guys is good. People like to say running back by committee and things like that, but each guy will have a role. There will be plenty of touches on the offense for everybody."
Fri, 22 Mar 2013 18:22:28 -0700 Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said this week that RB Reggie Bush will be used in a role similar to his days with the New Orleans Saints. In two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, he averaged 222 carries and 39 catches per season, but in five years in New Orleans, he averaged 105 carries and 59 receptions per campaign. Fantasy Tip: It appears Bush will return to being a beast in points-per-reception (PPR) fantasy leagues once again. It wasn't that he was bad in those leagues over the past two season, but if he posts 50-60 catches per season in Detroit's high-octane offense, he'll certainly have a lot more worth than as an every-down back.
Wed, 20 Mar 2013 10:48:11 -0700 Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz indicated the team could use RB Reggie Bush as a punt returner next season.
Wed, 20 Mar 2013 08:29:47 -0700 Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said there is a possibility RB Reggie Bush could return punts or kickoffs this season.

Wed, 13 Mar 2013 10:13:09 -0700 The Detroit Lions have agreed to terms with free-agent RB Reggie Bush (Dolphins). Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Fantasy Tip: Bush is expected to receive a majority of the carries next season, so he should be seen as a solid No. 2 running back in fantasy drafts. He probably will be more valuable in point-per-reception leagues because of his ability to catch passes. Mikel Leshoure should be considered a handcuff to Bush. He can also be a matchup play next season because he could receive goal line carries during games.

Wed, 06 Mar 2013 18:55:01 -0800 It is now a near-certainty the Miami Dolphins will allow impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush to test the open market, and some believe there will be a stronger-than-anticipated market for Bush's services. The Detroit Lions are one team expected to make a push for Bush.
Sun, 03 Mar 2013 20:16:29 -0800 The Miami Dolphins might still use the franchise tag before the deadline Monday, March 4. However, general manager Jeff Ireland preaches value, and he has worked to clear $45 million in salary-cap space to use this spring. Impending free-agents OT Jake Long would host $15 million with the tag, while CB Sean Smith ($10.9 million), WR Brian Hartline ($9.9 million) and RB Reggie Bush ($7.9 million) also seem unlikely to get the designation.
Wed, 27 Feb 2013 17:44:14 -0800 Updating a previous report, while the Detroit Lions are interested in free-agent RB Reggie Bush (Dolphins), it might take $5 million or so to land the speedy back.
Tue, 26 Feb 2013 10:24:04 -0800 The Detroit Lions have legitimate interest in signing free-agent RB Reggie Bush (Dolphins). Fantasy Tip: Detroit hasn't been shy about trying to surround Matthew Stafford with as many weapons as possible, so it only makes sense to target the best free-agent running back for Detroit's needs, and he would make a nice contrast to complementary pounder Mikel Leshoure. Bush could be viewed as an RB2 - a stronger PPR choice - if he lands in the Motor City.
Sat, 23 Feb 2013 13:33:38 -0800 The San Diego Chargers could show interest in Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush because they will be looking for a third-down back.

Fri, 22 Feb 2013 05:38:25 -0800 The Miami Dolphins have begun negotiating with free-agent RB Reggie Bush (Dolphins) in the past week. The Dolphins want to re-sign Bush, but they want him at their price. General manager Jeff Ireland feels Bush is more suited for a third-down role or a receiver spot.
Thu, 21 Feb 2013 17:40:11 -0800 Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said the team would like to re-sign impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush but is not sure what will happen with him.
Thu, 21 Feb 2013 12:14:58 -0800 While there has been no decision on RB Reggie Bush's status, Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said the team would love to have a player of his skillset on the roster. "Certainly would, you'd love to have his skillset on the football team, Reggie has a unique set of skill sets, he's been a receiver, a primaryrunning back, I definitely see a role for that type of skill set," Ireland said. "We'll just have to see how things go, we've got a few more days of talking to our own guys and we'll see how things go."
Mon, 18 Feb 2013 09:35:54 -0800 Detroit Lions WR Nate Burleson is trying to convince Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush to sign with the team in the offseason. "I know it's not as sunny, and it might not be the same type of glitz and glamor, but you can do wonders for us," Burleson said during a television interview with NFL Network Monday, Feb. 18. "He came from USC, and everybody knows he can go out there and shake a little bit, wiggle a little bit and break that big run. And for him to put up two 1,000-yard seasons the last couple years proves that he's still an elite running back. And if I can get Reggie Bush in a Detroit Lions uniform, ooh-wee, watch out."
Wed, 13 Feb 2013 13:00:32 -0800 The Denver Broncos are not expected to show interest in Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush because they have RB Ronnie Hillman who fills a similar role.
Tue, 12 Feb 2013 18:05:08 -0800 Cincinnati Bengals running backs coach Hue Jackson has had success in the run game before, and this is a unit in need of upgrades. Two potential fits in free agency might be RBs Reggie Bush (Dolphins) and Chris Ivory (Saints). The latter is a restricted free agent, so the team's interest might hinge on what type of tender the team attaches to Ivory.
Sun, 10 Feb 2013 10:33:45 -0800 Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush could be given a limited role in the offense next season if he re-signs with the team because they are expecting big things from RB Lamar Miller in 2013.
Sun, 10 Feb 2013 10:26:43 -0800 Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush is confused as to why the team has not made a contract offer to him at this point. Bush would like to re-sign with the team this offseason.
Fri, 08 Feb 2013 10:12:31 -0800 The Miami Dolphins have not extended impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush a contract offer as of this week.
Wed, 06 Feb 2013 10:58:51 -0800 The New York Jets may show interest in Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush this offseason but likely would not be able to afford his expected salary. Bush would fit well in the team's new West Coast offense.
Wed, 30 Jan 2013 09:36:30 -0800 The Miami Dolphins are not ruling out the possibility of re-signing impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush if he is not offered a deal similar to the $4.5 million he made in 2012 from another team.
Mon, 28 Jan 2013 16:08:47 -0800 The Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions are both likely to be interested in Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush, who is highly unlikely to be re-signed by Miami. The Dolphins will, however, offer Bush a "team-friendly" offer.
Mon, 28 Jan 2013 10:44:45 -0800 The Miami Dolphins are not expected to re-sign impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush this offseason. Bush likely will receive interest as a free agent because of his ability to make explosive plays and contribute on special teams.
Sat, 19 Jan 2013 10:12:01 -0800 The Miami Dolphins have been in contract with the representatives for impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush, WR Brian Hartline, TE Anthony Fasano, OT Jake Long, DT Randy Starks and CB Sean Smith.
Fri, 18 Jan 2013 10:17:55 -0800 The Green Bay Packers feel the need to find a lead back heading into the 2013 season, and that man may not be on the current roster. The Packers shuffled through as many as six running backs this season and weren't satisfied with any of their options. Among the unrestricted free agents they could target this offseason include St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson, Miami Dolphins RB Reggie Bush, Dallas Cowboys RB Felix Jones and New York Jets RB Shonn Greene. Green Bay would likely be interested in Jackson in the secondary market because he'll be 30 this year. The Packers had some success using RBs DuJuan Harris, Alex Green and James Starks, but only enough to occasionally draw an opponent's safety into the box. "If you're running the ball and they're closing the middle of the field and bringing an extra guy down, it obviously plays to our strengths as a pass group," running backs coach Alex Van Pelt said. "There were times when I thought we forced their hand and they had to stop it, but we'd obviously like to be more consistent and more productive from start to finish." Harris has plenty of potential, but his lack of size led him to wear down at the end. Green Bay is unlikely to take another chance with RB Cedric Benson and the team might not be willing to pay Starks $1.323 million given his injury history.
Sat, 12 Jan 2013 16:22:13 -0800 The Miami Dolphins are expected to make a team-friendly offer to impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush at some point during the offseason.
Thu, 10 Jan 2013 11:14:38 -0800 The Miami Dolphins have not reached out to the representative for impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush as of Tuesday, Jan. 8, to discuss a new contract. The team is interested in re-signing Bush but only at the right price.
