Morton threw four innings (61 pitches) for Double-A Altoona Thursday, May 16, and he'll make his next start with Triple-A Indianapolis. SP Jeff Karstens (shoulder) will make his next rehab start and go four innings or 65 pitches with Altoona Saturday, May 18.

Sanchez will be the team's No. 4 starter because SP Jeff Karstens (shoulder) is dealing with a sore shoulder. "In spring training, he's looked much closer to the guy he was in 2011 and '10 than the guy who struggled in '12," general manager Neal Huntington said. "Jonathan's last two starts have been very encouraging. The offspeed pitches have been very effective and the fastball command has been good." Inge could open on the disabled list with a bone bruise in his right shoulder. He's played in only four games since being hit by a pitch March 14. Fantasy Tip: Sanchez isn't the type of pitcher that most fantasy baseball players look to add to their stable of pitchers because of his continuing control problems. If he can strike out hitters in bunches, though, he'll be useful again - at least in NL-only leagues.
