The San Francisco Giants recalled RP Sandy Rosario from Triple-A Fresno Monday, April 29, and placed RP Jose Mijares on the bereavement list in a corresponding move. Mijares must miss at least three games. Rosario could be sent out soon, though, with RP Jeremy Affeldt (oblique) eligible to come off the disabled list Tuesday, April 30.

San Francisco Giants RP Jose Mijares (elbow) threw Friday, March 22, in a minor-league game, and he appeared to be throwing hard. He might have to start the season on the 15-day disabled list, but might not be far away from a return to game action.
