New York Mets SP R.A. Dickey (wrist) endured a quick scare Saturday, May 12, against the Miami Marlins. Dickey was in pain after getting drilled near his pitching hand by Marlins SP Ricky Nolasco in the fifth inning, but he remained in the game to pitch two more frames in the Mets' 9-3 victory over the Marlins. "I was thankful it hit me on the meatier part of the wrist," Dickey said. "I got feeling back in my hand pretty quickly."

Miami Marlins SP Ricky Nolasco picked up his third win of the season Tuesday, May 1, against the San Francisco Giants. He gave up a home run to Giants 3B Pablo Sandoval among seven hits over 7 1/3 innings. He was removed from the game after intentionally walking Sandoval to load the bases in the eighth. Miami won 2-1.
