Both underwent Tommy John surgery last season. "They're doing fine. I think both of them threw [Saturday]," manager Ned Yost said. "Duffy threw 20 pitches in a game and Paulino threw like 25 pitches in BP with good results. They're fine." Both are aiming for minor league pitching assignments in the next month or two.

"It's going to be a good time, late July when we're firing on all cylinders and me and Paulino can come back and fit in wherever we can." Duffy has been throwing at a distance of 105 feet during his rehab.
