Milwaukee Brewers SP Wily Peralta is looking like a favorite to slip into the rotation to start the year with SP Zack Greinke (ribs) headed for the disabled list, according to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. Peralta will start the spring game Friday, March 18. The team is also considering Ps Eulogio De La Cruz and Marco Estrada.

The Milwaukee Brewers sent SP Mark Rogers (shoulder) to Triple-A Nashville Tuesday, March 15, but manager Ron Roenicke said it wasn't because of Rogers' performance, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Michael Hunt. Roenicke did not feel that Rogers would be ready for the start of the season. Ps Wily Peralta, Marco Estrada and Eulogio De La Cruz are the candidates to open the season as the team's No. 5 starter. Roenicke did not mention P Tim Dillard as an option.
