Athletics | Jim Johnson the wild card in 'pen

Wed, 21 May 2014 14:22:59 -0700

Oakland Athletics manager Bob Melvin said RP Jim Johnson is the "wild card" in the bullpen now with RP Sean Doolittle in the closer's role. Johnson will be used in a variety of roles.

Fantasy Tip: Johnson can be dropped in shallow mixed leagues right now as long as Doolittle is the man in the ninth. That could change quickly, though.

Athletics | Sean Doolittle named closer

Wed, 21 May 2014 06:15:08 -0700

Oakland Athletics manager Bob Melvin has named RP Sean Doolittle the team's closer.
