New York Yankees 1B Lyle Overbay and C Chris Stewart were out of the starting lineup Wednesday, June 12, against the Oakland Athletics. DH Travis Hafner was in the lineup at designated hitter, batting cleanup, while C Austin Romine got the nod behind the dish, batting ninth for manager Joe Girardi.

New York Yankees C Chris Stewart (head) was scratched Sunday, June 2, due to dehydration, dizziness and feelings of light-headedness. He was also scratched Saturday, June 1, for similar symptoms, and is being checked out at a local area hospital.

New York Yankees C Chris Stewart (dehydration) left the game against the Boston Red Sox Saturday, June 1, during the fourth inning, because of dehydration. Manager Joe Girardi said Stewart felt "lightheaded" after the game but was OK.

Fantasy Tip: With Francisco Cervelli (hand) also out, Austin Romine will handle the catching duties for at least the next couple of days. Add him if you need catching help in deep AL-only formats.

New York Yankees C Chris Stewart (groin) might be placed on the disabled list after injuring his groin during game action Thursday, May 16. He was sent for an MRI after he pulled up lame running into third base in the seventh inning.

Fantasy Tip: If Stewart misses time, Austin Romine would take over primary catching duties with Francisco Cervelli (hand) out for at least next month. That boosts his AL-only value and might make him worthy of adding in cavernous, two-catcher mixed leagues. Maybe they'll add someone else, though.

Fantasy Tip: Stewart is competing with Francisco Cervelli for the starting gig, but Cervelli has a leg up in the competition. Stewart should only be considered in AL-only leagues, and deep ones at that.
