The Houston Astros reassigned SS Angel Sanchez, 3B Scott Moore and SS Brian Bixler to minor league camp. They optioned RP Enerio Del Rosario to Triple-A Round Rock and released 2B Joe Thurston.

Houston Astros INF Jimmy Paredes (wrist) will face live pitching in a minor league game Tuesday, March 6, and SS Angel Sanchez (back) will take batting practice with the coaching staff. Both players will travel with the team for their spring game Thursday, March 8.

Houston Astros SS Angel Sanchez (back) took ground balls and hit off a tee Wednesday, Feb. 29, as he works his way back from back tightness. He didn't field full-speed grounders, but worked at second base, shortstop and third base.
