Panthers | Greg Olsen returns Monday

Mon, 22 Aug 2016 12:51:11 -0700

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (back) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 22. The extent of Olsen's participation was not disclosed.

Fantasy Tip: Aside from Cam Newton, Olsen is arguably the most valuable offensive player the Panthers have, so this is great news for Carolina and Olsen owners. As long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks leading up to the regular season, he's a top-five tight end on any draft board.

Panthers | Greg Olsen, Ed Dickson sitting

Sat, 20 Aug 2016 12:01:13 -0700

Carolina Panthers TEs Greg Olsen (back) and Ed Dickson (undisclosed) are inactive against the Tennessee Titans Saturday, Aug. 20. Olsen is recovering from back spasms.

Fantasy Tip: Dickson has little to no fantasy value as long as Olsen is healthy, which Olsen should be by Week 1. He was Cam Newton's favorite target last year, and he should still be one of the first tight ends drafted even with the return of Kelvin Benjamin.

Panthers | Greg Olsen still hurting

Thu, 18 Aug 2016 15:29:24 -0700

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen's (back) MRI on his ailing back came back negative, according to head coach Ron Rivera, but Olsen is still dealing with a big spasm.

Fantasy Tip: The timetable for Olsen's return wasn't made clear, but it shouldn't be too long since it's not too serious of an issue. He's one of the most reliable tight ends in the NFL and should be one of the first three tight ends taken in fantasy drafts.

Panthers | Greg Olsen doesn't practice

Mon, 15 Aug 2016 15:48:02 -0700

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (back) did not practice Monday, Aug. 15, due to back spasms he suffered Sunday, Aug. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Hopefully it's not a lingering issue for Olsen, and it will be a good sign if he returns to practice this week. In the meantime, his fantasy value is status quo. He has top-three tight end potential again this year.

Panthers | Looking for Devin Funchess to step up

Tue, 19 Jul 2016 22:58:36 -0700

The Carolina Panthers hope WR Devin Funchess can pick up where he left off at the end of the regular season in 2015. If he can secure the starting job opposite WR Kelvin Benjamin, the team would have an impressive three-headed monster with TE Greg Olsen.

Fantasy Tip: Funchess has a ton of drops last season, as he appeared overwhelmed when thrust into a meaningful role in his rookie season. If he can stay healthy, avoid the drops and make further progress, he might be a worthwhile WR3/4 or flex play in most leagues of 12 or more teams.

Panthers | Greg Olsen not planning on slowing down

Thu, 19 May 2016 18:45:04 -0700

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen said he anticipates playing for several more years and plans on making it tough on any new tight end to take away his reps.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen won't have to worry about any competition for at least next season, and he is locked in as a top-five fantasy tight end.

Panthers | Greg Olsen held in check

Sun, 07 Feb 2016 23:48:39 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen had four catches for 41 yards Sunday, Feb. 7, in Super Bowl 50. The Denver Broncos were efficient at shadowing Olsen on midrange routes. "They did a nice job with Greg," Panthers offensive coordinator Mike Shula said. "He's so talented in the passing game, but we were in a lot of long yardage. They can kind of focus on him and do different things."

Fantasy Tip: Olsen had a big 77-1,104-7 season and should be in the discussion for the second-best tight end after Rob Gronkowski. He'll be a top-five choice at the position in next year's drafts.

Panthers | Greg Olsen excels on deep passes

Thu, 04 Feb 2016 10:25:55 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen has 22 receptions on passes thrown between 15 and 30 yards downfield in 2015 (including playoffs), the most since New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski and former New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham each had 21 in 2011.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski was 3-for-3 on such throws in the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos, so Olsen could be primed for a huge day in Super Bowl 50, especially since the Broncos' safeties (T.J. Ward and Darian Stewart) are both battling lower-body injuries. Olsen could easily be the most productive skill-position player on either side on Super Sunday.

Panthers | Greg Olsen burns Arizona

Sun, 24 Jan 2016 19:40:19 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen caught six passes for 113 yards in a 49-15 win over the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen has been the most consistent weapon for the Panthers' passing attack all season, and he should remain a high-end TE1 in 2016.

Panthers | Greg Olsen facing tough matchup

Sat, 23 Jan 2016 17:18:30 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen faces the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 24, and LB Deone Bucannon allowed eight catches for 105 yards and no touchdowns against the top seven tight ends this season.

Fantasy Tip: Bucannon is a converted safety, so he has better speed and coverage skills than most linebackers. Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) is still one of the best tight ends available this weekend at FantasyScore, but given Bucannon's track record, you may be better of paying the difference to roster Rob Gronkowski ($8,000, 16.0% of cap).

Panthers | Greg Olsen ready for Arizona

Wed, 20 Jan 2016 20:07:40 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen will meet the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 24. He posted a touchdown last week against the Seattle Seahawks, and he led the team with six grabs for 77 yards on six targets.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) faces an Arizona pass defense which allowed 807 yards and five touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season, yielding 10.2 yards per catch on 79 grabs. He'll certainly get his chance in the Carolina offense, but he isn't much cheaper than New England's Rob Gronkowski ($8,000, 16.0% of cap), who could end up being more prolific.

Panthers | Arizona focused on Greg Olsen

Wed, 20 Jan 2016 15:23:29 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen will be a focal point for the Arizona Cardinals defense in the NFC Championship game, according to Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians. "Greg's going to be a problem because he's everywhere," Arians said. "He is their focal point. If we take him out of the passing game, that's 40% of their offense. That's our goal. That's hard to do, though."

Fantasy Tip: There isn't much to choose from on FantasyScore this weekend, and Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) is the second-highest priced tight end behind Rob Gronkowski. Arizona did have some problems covering tight ends this year, though, as they allowed the 12th-most PPR points (13.2) to the position per game. Olsen is worth paying up for.

Panthers | Greg Olsen expects to be fine

Sun, 17 Jan 2016 23:36:52 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (upper body) said Sunday, Jan. 17, that he suffered a burner in the NFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks, but he is fine.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen is the second-best FantasyScore tight end available in the championship round of the playoffs, but check the practice reports next week to make sure he is good to go.

Panthers | Greg Olsen finds end zone

Sun, 17 Jan 2016 14:29:49 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen caught six passes for 77 yards and one touchdown in the divisional round playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, Jan. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen briefly left the game because of an injury, so owners will need to monitor the situation to see if he will be fine for the NFC Championship game against the Arizona Cardinals. Olsen will be a main part in the team's passing game if he plays and should be a solid fantasy option.

Panthers | Greg Olsen looking for repeat outing

Tue, 12 Jan 2016 14:13:39 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen caught seven passes for 131 yards and a touchdown when the Panthers beat the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6 this season.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) was by far the most productive pass-catcher for the Panthers that day. He was Cam Newton's favorite target throughout the regular season and should see plenty of targets this weekend. Don't expect a repeat performance, but you should still view Olsen as a top-three tight end for the divisional playoff round.

Panthers | Greg Olsen finds the end zone

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 16:28:27 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen caught six passes on eight targets for 79 yards and a score in a 38-35 win over the New York Giants in Week 15.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen remains the steadiest option in the Carolina passing attack and one of the steadiest tight end options available at FantasyScore.

Panthers | Greg Olsen officially probable

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 09:58:41 -0800

Updating previous reports, Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) is listed as probable to play against the New York Giants in Week 15. Olsen returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Now that we know Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) will definitely play, he's a fine daily pick against a weak Giants defense of tight ends this year. The Panthers may pass the ball more often, too, with Jonathan Stewart out.

Panthers | Greg Olsen expected to go

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 09:50:04 -0800

Updating an earlier report, Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) is out of practice Friday, Dec. 18, but head coach Ron Rivera expects him to play in Week 15.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) is an elite option on FantasyScore against the New York Giants.

Panthers | Greg Olsen ready to go

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 09:02:35 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) is ready to go for Week 15 against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Tip: Expect Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) to be listed as probable against the G-Men. The Giants allow the second-most PPR fantasy points (17.0) to tight ends per game this season, so Olsen is definitely worth spending up for on FantasyScore.

Panthers | Greg Olsen upgraded to limited

Thu, 17 Dec 2015 13:58:09 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 17, after not practicing Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: This is certainly good news for Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) who was a no go yesterday. He has a solid matchup versus the New York Giants, and he's Cam Newton's favorite and most reliable target. Assuming he's active, he's worth his FantasyScore price.

Panthers | Ted Ginn, Greg Olsen both out

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 11:51:17 -0800

Updating a previous report, Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. (non-injury) and TE Greg Olsen (knee) both did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Ginn ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) will be fine and is a great daily pick against a top-10 doormat for receivers all year. Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) is being eased into practice this week and is expected to be fine against the New York Giants. The G-Men also struggled to cover tight ends, so Olsen should be worth paying up for if he's active.

Panthers | Greg Olsen at practice

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 08:38:54 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) took part in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) will be one of the top tight end options on FantasyScore against the New York Giants if things continue to lean to him playing.

Panthers | Greg Olsen has sprained knee

Tue, 15 Dec 2015 14:07:30 -0800

Updating previous reports, Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) is dealing with a sprained left knee, but he said that his MRI exam showed no significant damage. Olsen plans to play in Week 15 against the New York Giants if he doesn't have setbacks in practice this week.

Fantasy Tip: Keep a close eye on how Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) fares in practice this week. If he's playing against the Giants, he'll be attractive on FantasyScore even at a high price. New York allows the second-most PPR fantasy points (17.0) to tight ends per game this year.

Panthers | Greg Olsen believes he'll play

Tue, 15 Dec 2015 12:11:52 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) said he thinks he'll play Sunday, Dec. 15, against the New York Giants. Olsen plans to ease back into practice this week.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) will be on the field against the New York Giants this weekend. The Giants provide a solid matchup for Olsen, and the whole Panthers' offense, really. He's still a top-tier tight end on FantasyScore.

Panthers | Greg Olsen expected for Week 15

Tue, 15 Dec 2015 05:33:52 -0800

Updating a previous report, Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) is expected to play his 140th consecutive game in Week 15 against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) will be one of the top TE choices against the New York Giants on FantasyScore.

Panthers | Greg Olsen, Jonathan Stewart are fine

Mon, 14 Dec 2015 14:48:45 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) and RB Jonathan Stewart (foot) are fine after undergoing precautionary MRIs Monday, Dec. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen and Stewart should be good to go against the New York Giants next week. The Giants have been porous against every offensive position this year, especially tight end and running back. Olsen is a top-tier fantasy tight end this week while Stewart should be viewed as a low-end RB1 to high-end RB2.

Panthers | Greg Olsen to undergo tests

Mon, 14 Dec 2015 10:17:05 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) is scheduled to undergo an MRI Monday, Dec. 14, but it is considered a precautionary move, according head coach Ron Rivera.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen appears to have a good chance to play in Week 15, but owners should keep an eye on his status. He has been targeted often this season and has at least five passes in seven games this season. He would be facing the New York Giants in Week 15 and could be a solid starting option.

Panthers | Greg Olsen finishes with 52 yards

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 15:55:25 -0800

Updating a previous report, Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) finished with three receptions for 52 yards in the Week 14 game against the Atlanta Falcons. After the game head coach Ron Rivera said Olsen "just tweaked his knee."

Fantasy Tip: It appears Olsen was lifted simply as a precaution with the game out of hand. If he is able to play in Week 15 against the New York Giants, he could have a huge game against a very poor pass defense.

Panthers | Greg Olsen may not return

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 11:44:03 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) is questionable to return with a left knee injury.

Fantasy Tip: As the source indicates, the Panthers may not risk bringing Olsen back as the Panthers are up 28-0 at halftime. Ed Dickson will take over as the starting tight end for as long as Olsen is sidelined.

Panthers | Three Panthers ready to go

Fri, 11 Dec 2015 11:04:23 -0800

Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. (non-injury), TE Greg Olsen (non-injury) and RB Jonathan Stewart (non-injury) all practiced in full Friday, Dec. 11, and are probable against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: All three players were given some extra rest this week. Against a strong Atlanta secondary, Ginn ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) doesn't have much appeal this week. Olsen ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) is much safer in a good matchup, and J-Stew ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) remains an excellent play against a team that has been killed by running backs for most of the year.

Panthers | Three Panthers full go

Thu, 10 Dec 2015 13:38:53 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (non-injury), RB Jonathan Stewart (non-injury) and WR Ted Ginn Jr. (non-injury) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Stewart ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) has an extremely solid matchup in Week 14 as the Atlanta Falcons have allowed the most rushing touchdowns to running backs this year (14). Olsen ($7,500, 15.0%) is also a solid FantasyScore play as Atlanta is a bottom-ten fantasy defense against tight ends. Ginn isnít as promising or reliable as the other two, but you can do worse at wide receiver.

Panthers | Two Panthers given day off

Wed, 09 Dec 2015 14:09:10 -0800

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart (non-injury) and TE Greg Olsen (non-injury) were given a day of rest Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Stewart ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) may have the best matchup of any running back in Week 14 as the Atlanta Falcons have allowed the most rushing touchdowns to running backs this year (14). Olsen ($7,500, 15.0%) also has a great matchup as Atlanta is a bottom-ten fantasy defense against tight ends.

Panthers | Greg Olsen leads the way again

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 16:39:56 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen had team highs with eight grabs and 80 yards in the Week 10 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen converted all eight of his targets, including a one-handed snare thrown to his back shoulder in the first half. He is a must-have FantasyScore option, regardless of the competition, on a weekly basis.

Panthers | Greg Olsen continues to roll

Mon, 02 Nov 2015 22:57:41 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen posted six receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown in the Week 8 game against the Indianapolis Colts Monday, Nov. 2. He was targeted 12 times.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) continues to have the most reliable hands of all of the Carolina pass catchers, and he is a rather affordable and dependable FantasyScore option as opposed to some others with higher salaries at his position.

Panthers | Greg Olsen held out of end zone

Sun, 25 Oct 2015 21:47:30 -0700

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen had three receptions for 65 yards in the Week 7 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was targeted five times.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) is arguably the best receiver in Charlotte, and the Eagles worked hard to eliminate him from the team's offensive plan. He remains a strong FantasyScore option going forward, although he faces an Indianapolis Colts pass defense which has allowed just one passing touchdown to opposing tight ends this season.

Panthers | Greg Olsen torches Seattle

Sun, 18 Oct 2015 18:20:37 -0700

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen had seven catches for 131 yards and a touchdown in a 27-23 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) is the best option the Panthers have in the passing game, and he has topped 130 yards in two of the last three games. Carolina is content to run the ball when possible, but Olsen should be a solid play against opponents that can take away the run.

Panthers | Career day for Greg Olsen

Sun, 27 Sep 2015 16:52:38 -0700

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen had eight catches for a career-high 134 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-22 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: After a quiet opener, Olsen ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) has logged 25 targets in the last two games. He is Cam Newton's ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) go-to option in the passing game, and Olsen should be one of the safest plays at his position at FantasyScore all season.

Panthers | Targets coming Greg Olsen's way

Sat, 26 Sep 2015 11:01:00 -0700

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen is expected to see plenty of targets in Week 3, in the opinion of The Charlotte Observer's Joseph Person. Olsen was targeted 14 times last week, catching six passes for 70 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) is undoubtedly Cam Newton's best go-to guy this year. Plus, Jerricho Cotchery won't be playing this week, so the Panthers are even thinner in the pass-catching department. Olsen is worth the FantasyScore investment.

Panthers | Greg Olsen to see more targets

Wed, 19 Aug 2015 19:19:25 -0700

Carolina Panthers WR Greg Olsen is expected to be the No. 1 target for QB Cam Newton following the loss of WR Kelvin Benjamin (knee) to a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen had 123 last season with Benjamin on the field, and that was fourth-most among all NFL tight ends. Olsen is worth a mid-round draft pick after the premier tight ends are off the board in fantasy drafts. He could vie for a 1,000-yard season and plenty of catches, and someone will have to score in the red zone.

Panthers | Corey Brown expanding his game

Sat, 27 Jun 2015 18:42:14 -0700

Carolina Panthers WR Corey Brown has developed into more than just a deep threat, according to TE Greg Olsen. "Last year at this time, Corey was a guy where we said, 'Wow, he's fast.' This year he is a receiver," Olsen said. "The guy can play. He's not just a one-trick pony, a guy who is just going to run deep. He has a lot of natural instinct to him. He has a good feel."

Fantasy Tip: Brown has big-play speed, and while he may be developing into a more complete receiver, he is unlikely to steal many looks with big targets like Kelvin Benjamin, Greg Olsen and Devin Funchess in town. He is final-round flier at best in seasonal leagues, but he could make a nice high-risk, high-reward gamble in DFS games if one of Carolina's top receivers happens to miss a game during the year.

Panthers | Greg Olsen financial details

Thu, 05 Mar 2015 14:29:43 -0800

Updating a previous report, Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen's three-year deal is worth $22.5 million, including a $12.5 million signing bonus.

Fantasy Tip: Aside from WR Kelvin Benjamin, Olsen was QB Cam Newton's favorite target last season, and was tied with Benjamin for the team lead in receiving yards (1,008). He's a top-tier tight end heading into next season.

Panthers | Greg Olsen signs extension

Thu, 05 Mar 2015 14:24:02 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen signed a three-year contract extension through 2018 Thursday, March 5.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen is one of the premiere fantasy tight ends, when healthy, and has developed a nice rapport with QB Cam Newton. Olsen was one of two tight ends (Rob Gronkowski) to gain at least 1,000 yards in 2014. He should be considered a top-five tight end for 2015 drafts.

Panthers | Greg Olsen taking day off

Tue, 06 Jan 2015 10:19:47 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen is taking the day off from practice Tuesday, Jan. 6.

Fantasy Tip: It's just a rest day for Olsen. He'll play in the divisional round versus the Seattle Seahawks. Although Olsen has been a pretty reliable tight end this season, starting him at FantasyScore this weekend for $6,500 (13.0% of cap) may be a bit risky while going up against the hottest defense in the league.

Panthers | Derek Anderson leans on Greg Olsen

Tue, 16 Dec 2014 15:39:53 -0800

Carolina Panthers QB Derek Anderson had 15 passes of 10 or more yards in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and six of Anderson's passes of 10 or more yards went to TE Greg Olsen, who had 10 catches for 110 yards in the game. Anderson tends to lean more on Olsen as he holds the ball longer in the pocket and goes through his progressions. Olsen had eight catches for 83 yards in Week 1 when Anderson started.

Fantasy Tip: The Cleveland Browns have been good at stopping the tight end position this year, but if Cam Newton (back) sits out for another week, Olsen ($6,600) should be one of the safer FantasyScore tight end plays.

Panthers | Greg Olsen will play against Bucs

Fri, 12 Dec 2014 14:02:35 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 12, and is probable for Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen ($6,500) has been one of the team's more consistent receiving options this year, and that shouldn't change with Derek Anderson at the helm this week. In fact, Olsen had a nice day in Week 1 with Anderson throwing him passes, so he makes for a solid play at FantasyScore again.

Panthers | Greg Olsen limited during practice

Thu, 11 Dec 2014 11:49:19 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen should be able to play this week despite being limited during practice. Olsen has caught at least five passes in each of his last four games, which makes him valuable in point-per-reception leagues. Olsen costs $6,500 on FantasyScore.

Panthers | Limited status for Greg Olsen

Wed, 10 Dec 2014 13:43:48 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen ($6,500) remains one of the more consistent tight ends all season, and his matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is nice this weekend. Olsen had eight catches (11 targets) and 83 yards and a score in Week 1 against the Bucs when Derek Anderson was the quarterback.

Fri, 05 Dec 2014 10:48:00 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints, but head coach Ron Rivera likes Olsen's chances of playing.

Fantasy Tip: You could do worse than to take Olsen ($6,300) as your tight end at FantasyScore if he's playing, but beware the matchup, as the New Orleans Saints have covered tight ends well this season.

Panthers | Greg Olsen back at practice

Thu, 04 Dec 2014 13:23:05 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 4, after sitting out Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Fantasy Tip: The Panthers don't seem very concerned with Olsen, so we fully expect him to play against the New Orleans Saints. Olsen ($6,300) remains a consistent part of the team's passing game, but beware, the Saints have surprisingly been good at holding opposing tight ends in check this season.

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 3, because he had fluid on his knee. He is expected to be ready for Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: Olsen should still be ready to go this week, and will cost $6,300 in FantasyScore. He is a fine starting option for your roster.
