The Kansas City Star reports the Kansas City Royals have invited P Ryan Baerlocher, a non-roster player, to spring training in 2006.

The Kansas City Star reports the Kansas City Royals have signed SP Ryan Baerlocher to a minor-league contract, the financial terms of which were not disclosed. Baerlocher was a combined 7-6 with a 3.67 ERA in 18 starts at Double-A Wichita and Triple-A Omaha after undergoing elbow surgery in 2004.
