Falcons | Looking to bolster pass rush

The Atlanta Falcons are looking to bolster their pass rush to help DL John Abraham. The Falcons don't have a first-round pick in the NFL Draft and may pursue another pass rusher at some point in the draft; however, they still view Abraham as their top threat up front. "You don't want to have just one guy that's getting all the production," head coach Mike Smith said. "You want other defensive linemen and linebackers being productive pass rushers ... You want to have a scheme that puts added pressure on the quarterback on third downs."

Atlanta Falcons impending free-agent DL John Abraham is looking for a new deal that will pay him $12 million or more annually. "Check out the five top ends. Everybody is getting 12-plus. I made eight million last year," Abraham said. "Everybody is saying, 'Oh, he's so greedy.' How am I greedy when I'm just trying to get paid the same thing they are getting paid? There are guys out there getting more money than me, but my production is the same as theirs or at least close."
