The Baltimore Orioles have placed P Sendy Rleal (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Friday, March 23, according to the Associated Press. He was suffering from right elbow soreness, and had not pitched since Tuesday, March 6.

Spencer Fordin, of Baltimore.Orioles.MLB.com, reports Baltimore Orioles RP Sendy Rleal could be moving toward the back of the bullpen soon. He's thrown well in his first two relief assignments, as he has thrown two scoreless innings thus far.

Orioles.MLB.com's Spencer Fordin reports there are still three open jobs up for grabs in the Baltimore Orioles' bullpen. Thus far, the bullpen is comprised of RPs Chris Ray, LaTroy Hawkins, Tim Byrdak and Jim Brower. The three favorites for the remaining bullpen spots are believed to be RPs John Halama, Eric DuBose and Sendy Rleal.

Spencer Fordin, of MLB.com, reports Baltimore Orioles P Sendy Rleal has made himself a strong candidate to make the team's bullpen for the 2006 season. Should fellow P Chris Ray become the closer for the Orioles, the two could repeat their roles from last season for Double-A Bowie, in which Rleal set up for Ray.
