The Cleveland Indians recalled RP Austin Adams, 1B Jesus Aguilar and P Bryan C. Price from Triple-A Columbus Monday, Sept. 1. The team also activated DH Jason Giambi (knee) from the 60-day disabled list and C Chris Gimenez from the paternity list.

Updating a previous report, Anthony Castrovince, of MLB.com, reports the Boston Red Sox are willing to send RP Justin Masterson, P Nick Hagadone and P Bryan Price to the Cleveland Indians in exchange for C Victor Martinez, according to an MLB source. A fourth player may also be part of the deal.

ESPN.com reports Arizona Diamondbacks former pitching coach Bryan Price stated that he does not agree with the team's hiring of manager A.J. Hinch recently. "A.J. has worked hard to get his credibility in the business in that [player-development] side of the game, but he doesn't have any credibility between the lines as a manager," Price said. "That, for me, just wasn't going to work."
