Rockies | Jim Tracy likely to return

Wed, 26 Sep 2012 13:03:40 -0700

Colorado Rockies manager Jim Tracy has a decent chance to return as manager for the 2013 season, but he's not completely assured of a job next year, either. "When a team is on its way to 100 losses, of course the manager is going to be up for discussion," a person with knowledge of the situation said. The team will likely take a few weeks after the season to evaluate all their options. Pitching coach Bob Apodaca has already stepped down and general manager Dan O'Dowd has assumed less responsibilities. The Rockies are also leaning on hiring Mark Wiley as their new pitching coordinator.
