Dodgers | Andre Ethier not in lineup Friday

Fri, 31 Jul 2015 17:15:49 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Andre Ethier is not in the starting lineup against Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Hector Santiago Friday, July 31. OF Scott Van Slyke will start in left field and bat cleanup.

Fantasy Tip: Ethier ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) is out of the lineup because the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Van Slyke ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) is batting .282 with two home runs and five RBIs in 39 at-bats versus southpaws this season, making him a nice sleeper play in FantasyScore.

Dodgers | Alex Guerrero starting against Mets

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 12:48:00 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Alex Guerrero is starting in left field and batting fifth against New York Mets SP Jon Niese Friday, July 24. OFs Carl Crawford and Andre Ethier are not in the starting lineup Friday.

Fantasy Tip: Dating back to Thursday, June 4, Guerrero ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) is mired in a 9-for-58 run without an extra-base hit. Still, he has power upside and owns a .491 slugging percentage this season despite the recent drought. View Guerrero as a high-risk, high-reward FantasyScore option Friday.

Dodgers | Carl Crawford to rejoin team Monday

Sun, 19 Jul 2015 12:56:56 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (oblique) will join the team in Atlanta Monday, July 20, although it is uncertain if he will be activated from the disabled list immediately, according to manager Don Mattingly. He will be used exclusively in left field once he returns to action, with current left fielder Andre Ethier expected to be used occasionally in center field or right field whenever Crawford is in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Crawford ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is wrapping up a minor league rehab assignment with Class AAA Oklahoma City. He was batting .245 in 15 games prior to being injured and should only be considered for NL-only fantasy leagues at this point.

Sun, 19 Jul 2015 08:02:06 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Andre Ethier is batting fourth in the starting lineup against Washington Nationals SP Max Scherzer Sunday, July 19.

Fantasy Tip: Ethier ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) has picked up at least 10 of his last 12 games and has five RBI during that span. Ethier has a tough matchup Sunday, so he will be a risky option for owners on FantasyScore.
