The Associated Press reports New York Jets CB Aaron Beasley has been charged with a misdemeanor of simple battery stemming from a bar fight in Jacksonville on July 6. Beasley allegedly punched a man in the eye while wrestling around with him outside the Voodoo Lounge. Beasley was not arrested, but has a court date of November 25, which he is not required to attend. John Guy, director of Duval County’s clerk office, said the maximum sentence for such an incident is one year in jail, but Beasley is unlikely to receive the maximum.
