Nationals | Denard Span tested knee

Wed, 03 Jun 2015 13:24:30 -0700

Updating a previous report, Washington Nationals OF Denard Span (knee) tested his knee by riding the bike and batting in the cage without any setbacks Wednesday, June 3, and he is in the starting lineup against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Fantasy Tip: Span ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has been solid between injuries this season, as he sports a .314/.356/.504 slash line with 22 runs, five home runs, 16 RBI and three stolen bases over 33 games. View him as a risky FantasyScore option Wednesday, but after he proves his health, he is a nice value play setting the table for the high-powered Nationals.

Nationals | Denard Span sitting vs. Blue Jays

Nationals | Denard Span valuable to Nats

Mon, 01 Jun 2015 10:29:04 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Denard Span is hitting .335 since last year's All-Star break, which is the best in the majors in that span for a minimum of 300 plate appearances. The Nationals are 186-136 (.578) when he's in the lineup since the start of 2013, and just 24-28 (.462) when he's not playing. Span is scheduled to be a free agent at the end of the 2015 season.

Fantasy Tip: Span ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has been an extremely profitable play at FantasyScore, as well, hitting .314 (43-for-137) with five home runs and 16 RBI since returning from the DL in mid-April. Setting the table for a potent Washington lineup should continue to make him very attractive in daily games.
