New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson is interested in bringing back former GM Omar Minaya as an advisor, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo. "We continue to have a good relationship," Alderson said. "At this point, [Minaya] will -- when he deems it appropriate -- give me another call and we'll see where it goes."

The New York Mets will begin interviewing candidates for the team's hitting coach vacancy, according to Andy McCullough of The Star-Ledger. General manager Sandy Alderson is also expected to announce the team's new scouting director and minor-league field coordinator soon and plans to have lunch with former general manager Omar Minaya during the winter meetings in Orlando next week.

Former New York Mets general manager Omar Minaya said he has been contacted by multiple teams with front-office job offers, according to Enrique Rojas of ESPNDeportes.com. "I have many offers for different positions, including a few as assistant general manager, but I'm in no hurry," he said. Minaya plans to take several weeks off to travel and take care of family affairs before making a decision.
