"There are still some outstanding issues. Hopefully they get resolved in the next 24 hours or else people are going to have to suit it up and go east."

Cincinnati Reds general manager Walt Jocketty brought manager Dusty Baker in for a end-of-the-season meeting and wanted to fire hitting coach Brook Jacoby. Baker said: "If you want to fire someone, fire me." Jocketty opted to fire Baker, and a source said the two's relationship had been strained or distant of late. Baker has no plans to retire.
