The Dodgers subsequently went on to hire San Francisco Giants vice president and assistant general manager Ned Colletti as their new GM.

Updating a previous item, Steve Henson, of the LA Times, reports Texas Rangers front-office advisor John Hart has told Rangers GM Jon Daniels that he isn't interested in leaving the Rangers for the vacant GM job with the Los Angeles Dodgers. "My understanding is that John is enthusiastic about his position with the Rangers and plans to stay here," said Daniels.
