Sponichi, a Japanese media organization, indicates the Chicago Cubs may have already made an offer to SP Tsuyoshi Wada (Orioles). Cubs general manager Theo Epstein has denied making an offer to Wada, who pitched in the Baltimore Orioles organization the past two seasons.

A woman has been arrested in Chicago for allegedly stalking Chicago Cubs president Theo Epstein. Kathleen Kearney, 44, who is from Canton, Mass., was charged with two counts of felony stalking.

Red Sox | Not expected to receive additional compensation from Chicago

The Boston Red Sox are unlikely to receive a different player from the Chicago Cubs as compensation for former general manager Theo Epstein, even though P Christopher Carpenter (elbow) is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery on his right elbow to remove a bone spur. The Red Sox had complete access to Carpenter's medical records and he passed two physicals - one from the Cubs and one from the Red Sox - before the deal was finalized.

Boston Red Sox officials believe that the MLB commissioner's office will determine what compensation the club will receive from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for former general manager Theo Epstein "before the official start of spring training." However, it is unknown whether that comment refers to the date when pitchers and catchers report or when position players report.
