Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen and general manager Kenny Williams nearly got into a fight Tuesday, June 8, after an argument occurred, the Chicago Sun-Times' Joe Cowley reports. The White Sox drafted Guillen's son, OF Ozney Guillen, in the 22nd round, and Ozzie Guillen publicly said he'd give Ozney $50,000 just to go to college instead of sign with the team. Williams confronted Ozzie Guillen, and the situation became heated.

"There's a lot of different ways he has talked to me about, and it's interesting," Williams said. "It's not too different from what the Angels have done the past few years."

The Chicago Tribune's Joe Cowley reports the Chicago White Sox extended the contracts of hitting coach Greg Walker, pitching coach Don Cooper, bench coach Joey Cora and first base coach Harold Baines through the 2011 season. There are also whispers that general manager Kenny Williams was extended through 2012, when manager Ozzie Guillen's contract runs out, but Williams wouldn't comment.

The Associated Press reports Chicago White Sox general manager Kenny Williams has not been happy with the play of his team recently. "I'm not happy with the past road trip. We lost two games that we should've won. That [would've] put us a half game out of first place. We've thrown away a dozen games that way this year," said Williams. "We've deserved what we've got. I'm not happy. I'm not happy with a lot of what I see, we're underachievers, period."

The Associated Press reports Chicago White Sox general manager Kenny Williams said he may not be able to make a big trade this season because of smaller crowds at U.S. Cellular Field. "Well, if I'm being completely honest money is more of the issue now. We expected a little more support than we've gotten," he said. "I think it's a reflection upon the economy of what's kind of happen with regards to attendance and I don't know if we've played consistent enough, or been exciting enough for people to get behind us. We're still hopeful."
