Free agent WR Amani Toomer (Chiefs), during an interview on SIRIUS NFL Radio, said he is done playing professional football even though he has not yet filed retirement paperwork with the league. Toomer said he has been focusing on his family and one day hopes to get into broadcasting.

"It's a very touchy situation for me right now. I mean, it's hard not to get emotional just because I've been there so long. But I understand. I've seen it happen many, many times before to other players. It's part of the business. We have a disagreement. They have one opinion of me, I have another. When the relationship's good it's good, when it's not, it's not," Toomer said. Toomer is unhappy how the team phased him out of the offense at the end of the season.

It was Toomer's first game action since he partially tore his ACL Nov. 15 of last season. He said that it felt good to play and he took some confidence from the game. Toomer added that he's on his way back and felt he could have played longer, but the coaches wanted to be smart about his playing time.
