Texas Rangers P Scott Feldman will make a spot start against the New York Yankees Wednesday, April 25, according to manager Ron Washington. However, he could be used in relief Tuesday, April 24, which could line RP Robbie Ross up for the start.

Texas Rangers RP Scott Feldman is expected to start Wednesday, April 25, against the New York Yankees. While nothing has been made official, the team will need a sixth starter due to a rain out Friday, April 20, and a doubleheader set for Saturday, April 21. Manager Ron Washington indicated that he expects Wednesday to be a "bullpen game," with Feldman likely getting 50 or 60 pitches. "I'll be ready for it," Feldman said.

Texas Rangers RPs Alexi Ogando and Scott Feldman will officially start the year in the bullpen with SP Neftali Feliz (shoulder) OK to start. Feliz will throw 80 pitches in a spring game Saturday, March 31, and make his first regular season start April 10 against the Seattle Mariners.

Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington is very impressed with SPs Yu Darvish and Neftali Feliz and doesn't want to limit them at all this season. RPs Scott Feldman and Alexi Ogando could be called upon to pitch multiple relief innings early on, as they're being stretched out as starters in spring training.

Texas Rangers pitching coach Mike Maddux said the plan is for every pitcher to throw Thursday, Feb. 23, except for RP Scott Feldman and SP Colby Lewis, as they are slated to work in the team's first spring training game.
