Mon, 06 May 2013 12:40:06 -0700 The Boston Red Sox placed RP Andrew Bailey (biceps) on the 15-day disabled list Monday, May 6, and activated RP Craig Breslow (shoulder) from the DL in a corresponding move. Bailey was having soreness in his right biceps and underwent an MRI exam Monday. Fantasy Tip: Joel Hanrahan, who had been relegated to the eighth-inning setup role when he returned from a DL stint of his own last week, will serve as the closer with Bailey sidelined. Hanrahan may have been cut by his owner when Farrell declared him the setup man last week. If so, scoop him up immediately. Bailey's biceps injury didn't seem to be too serious, but the team was taking a cautious route. However, given his extensive injury history, a quick recovery is far from certain. For that reason, Hanrahan needs to be owned everywhere, even if Bailey returns quickly and resumes the role of closer. If Bailey misses extensive time, Koji Uehara may also steal at least a few opportunities, given Hanrahan's shaky skills.

RP Craig Breslow (shoulder) will throw a simulated game Tuesday, April 9, and could throw in a rehab game by the end of the week. Fantasy Tip: Keep an eye on Morales' progress. He could be an option in deep AL-only leagues if he finds himself a spot in the rotation at some point.
