Former Baltimore Orioles SP Dana Eveland has agreed to a one-year deal with the Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization, according to an industry source. Eveland, who made $750,000 with the Orioles last season, will receive $675,000 guaranteed from the Eagles with another $225,000 available through performance bonuses, bringing the total potential package to $900,000. Eveland was 0-1 with a 4.73 ERA in 14 games, two starts, with the Orioles in 2012.

Baltimore Orioles SP Dana Eveland was pounded for five runs and six hits over 3 2/3 innings Saturday, June 30, in his latest start against the Cleveland Indians. He might make his next start Friday, July 6, against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He has had little success against the Angels, going 0-3 with a 6.40 ERA over six starts and one relief appearance. Eveland might be sent to the bullpen.

Baltimore Orioles SP Chris Tillman was scratched from his start with Triple-A Norfolk Monday, July 2, making him the leading candidate to be called up to start Thursday, July 5. He has a 2.88 ERA in his last 10 starts with Norfolk. SP Zach Britton could be called up to make the start Friday, July 6. P Miguel Gonzalez is not a candidate to make a start, but SP Dana Eveland could make another spot start if necessary.
