The San Diego Chargers announced Tuesday, Dec. 29, that QB Philip Rivers, TE Antonio Gates, PK Nate Kaeding, OG Kris Dielman and WR Kassim Osgood have been named to the 2010 AFC Pro Bowl team. RB Darren Sproles was named a first alternate for the team. OT Marcus McNeill, WR Vincent Jackson, CB Antonio Cromartie and P Mike Scifres were named third alternates.

Jay Paris, of the North County Times, reports a recent tweet from San Diego Chargers CB Antonio Cromartie included a picture of him taking notes in a team meeting and a shot of what was being reviewed. Head coach Norv Turner declined to say whether Cromartie was fined for the tweet. "The most important thing about it is it was four days ago and we dealt with it," head coach Norv Turner said. "It is the furthest thing from my mind as far as getting ready for this game.'' During training camp last month, Cromartie was fined $2,500 for writing disparaging remarks about the players' food.

According to The Associated Press, the San Diego Chargers defense came to play during their preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals. CB Quentin Jammer knocked a ball out of WR Anquan Boldin's hands to prevent a touchdown, and CB Antonio Cromartie followed that up by picking off a pass in front of WR Larry Fitzgerald. Cromartie said one of the team's key priorities this year is to do whatever they have to do to keep offenses out of the end zone. "We did that," he noted.
