The Kansas City Royals agreed to a one-year deal with free-agent RP Jonathan Broxton (Dodgers), pending a physical.

Fantasy Tip: The move creates flexibility with the back-end of the bullpen. The team could opt to trade CL Joakim Soria after a down season in 2011 and concerns with his right shoulder. Broxton said he is willing to serve as a setup man for a team and enter the market again after the 2012 season.
