Boston Red Sox SP Jon Lester received a no-decision after pitching seven innings, allowing one run on seven hits, with no walks and 12 strikeouts Thursday, July 10, against the Chicago White Sox.
Fantasy Tip: Lester has only allowed a single earned run over his last 23 innings pitched. He is statistically having a career year and potentially pitching over his head. Expect Lester to have a strong second half, but he is more of a No. 2 starting pitcher in fantasy than an ace.

Boston Red Sox SP Jon Lester said that his unwillingness to discuss a new contract right now doesn't mean one won't be completed. "There is no reason not to have hope," said Lester, according to CBSBoston.com. "The talks have been amicable and everybody has been good to each other as far as being truthful, being honest and up-front with guys." Lester previously said this spring that he would consider a "hometown discount" to stay in Boston, yet Lester's camp rejected a reported four-year, $70 million offer from the Red Sox in April.
Fantasy Tip: Maybe Boston will consider trading Lester if this goes south, but it's doubtful, considering they value the southpaw and Boston technically isn't out of any playoff race just yet.
