The Terre Haute (Ind.) Tribune-Star reports Indianapolis Colts RB Vashon Pearson (groin) missed practice Monday, Aug. 7. Head coach Tony Dungy said, "We're trying to determine whether it's going to be [injured reserve] or injury settlement, or just how long the injury is going to be. It hasn't been determined yet."

Tyler Nelson, of the Daily Mississippian, reports NFL supplemental draft candidate RB Vashon Pearson of Mississippi will work out for pro scouts July 11, according to agent John Holmes. Scouts will run him through all of the combine skills test like the 40-yard dash, vertical jump and bench press to determine where he may land.

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports former Mississippi RB Vashon Pearson has submitted his paperwork to the NFL and is expected to be included in the July 14 supplemental draft. He carried 158 times for 827 yards and three touchdowns in 2004, and added seven receptions for 88 yards, starting in seven of his 11 appearances. At 5-feet-11, 205 pounds, Pearson is regarded as a solid inside runner and has been timed at under 4.5 in the 40.
