Updating previous reports, San Diego Padres C Nick Hundley (side) experienced no pain in his right side while catching Saturday, March 24. He is receiving extra at-bats in a minor league game Sunday, March 25.

San Diego Padres OF Kyle Blanks (shoulder), 2B Orlando Hudson (groin) and C Nick Hundley (side) are not in the team's Cactus League lineup Thursday, March 22, as they recover from their injuries. Hundley expects to return Friday, March 23. Hudson said his injury is minor, but Blanks is unsure when he might return.

San Diego Padres C Nick Hundley signed a three-year, $9 million contract extension Tuesday, March 20. He will make $2 million this year, $3 million in 2013 and $4 million in 2014, and the team holds a $5 million option for the 2015 season.
