San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Friday, Feb. 3, that he expects OFs Melky Cabrera, Nate Schierholtz and Angel Pagan to be the starting outfielders, although 1Bs Brandon Belt and Aubrey Huff might see time out there as well.

San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Friday, Feb. 3, that OF Melky Cabrera might hit in several different spots the team's lineup, including a look in the leadoff spot in the spring. "We'll look at Cabrera in the two spot, or maybe the five or six spots," Bochy said. "Right now, we're keeping our options open."

Royals | Not interested in trading Billy Butler

One rival general manager suggested the Kansas City Royals should trade DH Billy Butler and go with OFs Alex Gordon, Jeff Francoeur, Melky Cabrera and Lorenzo Cain in the outfield and at DH. However, the Royals have no interest in trading Butler. While the Royals want to trade or sign at least one veteran starting pitcher, they view 1B Eric Hosmer and Butler as their 3-4 hitters long-term.
