Charlie Campbell, of PewterReport.com, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden indicated the four-game suspension given to free-agent OT Luke Petitgout (Buccaneers) was not the reason the team released him. "We made the decision to do what we did, for the reasons we said we did. [General manager Bruce Allen] and the league office have that information. Again I think a lot of Luke Petitgout. I think he can come back and play, he just has to get right," Gruden said.

Pro Football Weekly reports the NFL has suspended free-agent OT Luke Petitgout (Buccaneers) for four games. An explanation for why Petitgout was suspended was not given.

Gruden said there is a possibility Petitgout starts the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
