Orioles | Nolan Reimold in two-hole

Tue, 31 May 2016 11:42:29 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Nolan Reimold is starting in left field and is hitting second against Boston Red Sox SP Eduardo Rodriguez Tuesday, May 31.

Fantasy Tip: Reimold has lost playing time recently to the surging Hyun-soo Kim, but he draws a favorable lineup spot against a young pitcher returning from the DL Tuesday. The right-handed hitter is batting .290 (9-for-31) against lefties this year, too, which could make him attractive as a sleeper selection in DFS.

Orioles | Baltimore resting three players

Mon, 30 May 2016 08:48:49 -0700

Baltimore Orioles C Matt Wieters, 3B Pedro Alvarez and OF Joey Rickard are not in the starting lineup against Boston Red Sox SP Steven Wright Monday, May 30. OF Nolan Reimold will start in right field and is batting seventh in the lineup. 2B Ryan Flaherty will start at third base and is batting eighth, while C Caleb Joseph will start at catcher and is batting ninth.

Fantasy Tip: Reimold is hitting only .167 over the last seven days but does have a .297 batting average this season. He should still have some fantasy value and can be an option for desperate owners in daily fantasy leagues. Flaherty and Joseph should be avoided in all fantasy leagues because they have struggled at the plate.

Baltimore Orioles 3B Pedro Alvarez and OF Joey Rickard are not in the starting lineup against Cleveland Indians SP Michael Clevinger Sunday, May 29. OF Nolan Reimold will bat eighth and play right field, with INF Ryan Flaherty batting ninth and playing the hot corner.

Fantasy Tip: Flaherty and Reimold have combined to go 2-for-22 (.091) over the past week. Neither player is a recommended fantasy option this afternoon.

Orioles | Adam Jones, Hyun-soo Kim setting the table

Fri, 27 May 2016 13:36:23 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OFs Adam Jones and Hyun-soo Kim are hitting first and second, respectively, in the lineup against Cleveland Indians SP Trevor Bauer Friday, May 27. OF Joey Rickard remains out of the lineup, and OF Nolan Reimold is starting in right field and is batting sixth.

Fantasy Tip: It's looking like Kim, who is hitting an impressive .444 (16-for-36) will start to see more playing time over the Rule 5 pick Rickard. He's worth speculating on in deep mixed and AL-only leagues if that continues. Jones loses some fantasy luster atop the order in daily games without as many chances to drive in runs.

Sat, 21 May 2016 15:58:19 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Nolan Reimold is out of the lineup Saturday, May 21, with 1B Pedro Alvarez hitting seventh.

Orioles | Hyun-soo Kim draws a start

Wed, 18 May 2016 12:33:03 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Hyun-soo Kim is starting in left field and is hitting ninth against Seattle Mariners SP Taijuan Walker Wednesday, May 18. OF Nolan Reimold will start on the bench.

Fantasy Tip: Kim has hit well in limited chances for the O's in his first season, going 11-for-28 (.393) with two RBI. It's a shot in the dark as a deep sleeper in daily games, though, with Kim hitting at the very bottom of the batting order. Walker hasn't been too shabby this year, either.

Orioles | Pedro Alvarez out vs. lefty

Tue, 17 May 2016 11:59:03 -0700

Baltimore Orioles 1B Pedro Alvarez is not in the starting lineup against Seattle Mariners left-handed SP Wade Miley Tuesday, May 17. OF Nolan Reimold is starting in left field and is batting eighth. OF Joey Rickard shifts from left field to right field.

Fantasy Tip: It's a common occurrence for Alvarez to sit against lefties. Reimold has played well this year (.340/.389/.580 with three home runs). He has a home run and is hitting .308 (8-for-26) against lefties this year, too, so he's not a bad low-priced flyer in DFS action. Hitting eighth will cap his ceiling tonight, though.

Orioles | Nolan Reimold playing left field

Sun, 15 May 2016 09:00:58 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Nolan Reimold will bat eighth and play left field against Detroit Tigers SP Michael Fulmer Sunday, May 15.

Fantasy Tip: Reimold is batting .348 with three doubles, three home runs and six RBI through 46 at-bats, so DFS players looking for an inexpensive outfield option should consider him for their lineups Sunday afternoon.

Orioles | Pedro Alvarez out of lineup

Wed, 11 May 2016 09:13:29 -0700

Baltimore Orioles 1B Pedro Alvarez is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, May 11. OF Nolan Reimold draws the start in right field and is hitting sixth against Minnesota Twins SP Phil Hughes. OF Mark Trumbo is serving as the designated hitter.

Fantasy Tip: Reimold is getting it done this year, hitting .333 (14-for-42) with three home runs and six RBI and is a decent sleeper selection in daily games. He also has three hits (one home run) in 10 career at-bats against Hughes.
