The Washington Post reports free agent G Glenn Parker said the Washington Redskins have contacted him, but he is likely to stay retired. "My agents have talked to the Redskins," Parker said in a telephone interview. "I don't think it's anything more than feelers at this point. It would have to be the right situation."

According to the Washington Post, the Washington Redskins have been contacted by agent Jack Reale about free agent OL Matt Campbell. He was selected by Houston in February's expansion draft but was released by the Texans this week. The Redskins may go after Campbell as they like his versatility. They appear interested in signing him as a prospective backup at several positions, perhaps with an outside chance to challenge for a starting guard spot. Other potential free agents at guard are Glenn Parker of the Giants, if they relese him this weekend and Ray Brown after he is released by the 49ers.
