The Washington Nationals could resume trade talks with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim that would involve OF Peter Bourjos for SP John Lannan. OF Mike Trout could be another trade option with the Nationals looking for a center fielder. However, it's likely that the Angels want to keep both Bourjos and Trout in the same outfield for years to come.

Nationals | Won't use John Lannan's option

Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said the team will not use the one remaining minor league option for SP John Lannan this year. "We feel that he's a major league-caliber starting pitcher," Rizzo said. "He's a major league starter, and he's ready to help a contending team. That's what we're going to use him as."
