New York Giants LB Antonio Pierce (ankle) still has his foot in a cast and there are no immediate plans to remove it. He will probably be out for the entire playoffs because of his high right ankle sprain, though head coach Tom Coughlin hopes he can return if the Giants get past the Carolina Panthers. He was replaced last week at middle linebacker by LB Kevin Lewis.

Mike Garafolo, of the Star-Ledger, reports the New York Giants have reportedly re-signed LB Kevin Lewis (Giants). Lewis had been released by the Giants at the end of the preseason. It is unclear if he will play in the middle or on the outside, but his extensive knowledge of the defensive system should allow him to be available for this Saturday's game, Dec. 31, against the Oakland Raiders.
