MiLB.com reports the Tampa Bay Rays will send OF J.T. Hall, 1B Rhyne Hughes, C Matt Spring, P Michael Wlodarczyk, SP James Houser, P Chris Mason and RP Ryan Reid to play for the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League.

Tampa Bay Devil Rays SP Chris Mason has been named the Double-A Starting Pitcher of the Year for 2007 by MiLB.com, according to Danny Wild of MLB.com on minorleaguebaseball.com. Mason, who was the club's second-round draft pick in 2005, produced a 15-4 mark with a 2.57 ERA in 28 starts with Double-A Montgomery. He has also been named the Southern League Pitcher of the Year. The 23-year-old righty has added a changeup to his arsenal, which already included a good sinker and a slider, according to Montgomery manager Billy Gardner Jr.
