Cubs | Clayton Richard to enter rotation?

Wed, 29 Jul 2015 12:25:25 -0700

Chicago Cubs SP Clayton Richard is expected to be called up from Class AAA Iowa to become the team's fifth starting pitcher after he tossed seven scoreless innings and gave up three hits for Iowa Tuesday, July 28.

Fantasy Tip: Richard allowed five earned runs in his two starts (12 innings) for the Cubs this year, and his stay in the rotation could be very short if Chicago trades for another starting arm this week. Richard should only be added in deep NL-only leagues, and he'll be a weak play on FantasyScore.

Cubs | Cubs starting Clayton Richard Saturday

Fri, 03 Jul 2015 14:56:26 -0700

Fantasy Tip: Richard was 4-2 with a 2.09 ERA through nine starts at Class AAA Indianapolis. He pitched in the majors from 2008 to 2013, and he posted a respectable 3.88 ERA and 1.34 WHIP through 520 innings over 84 starts between 2010 and 2012. Richard stands as a high-risk start in all formats Saturday, although, it isn't a terrifying matchup.
