The Minnesota Twins signed free-agent SS Michael Hollimon (Independent League) to a minor league deal Wednesday, Dec. 15, according to FOXSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi.

Jason Beck, of MLB.com, reports the Detroit Tigers removed RP Joel Zumaya (shoulder) and 1B Jeff Larish (wrist) from the 60-day disabled list Friday, Nov. 6. SS Michael Hollimon (shoulder) was also taken off the disabled list and was outrighted to Triple-A Toledo.

Jason Beck, of MLB.com, reports Detroit Tigers SS Michael Hollimon (finger) pulled the nail back on his right middle finger during a game and has been unable to throw. His finger remains bandaged and he has been taking groundballs.

According to USATODAY.com, the Detroit Tigers have signed P Kyle Bloom, P Alfredo Figaro, P Chris Lambert, P Zach Simons, C Dusty Ryan, IF Michael Hollimon and OF Casper Wells to minor league contracts. It is not known if these deals include spring training invites; no financial terms were announced.

The Toledo Blade's Joe Vardon reports Detroit Tigers SS Michael Hollimon (shoulder) said he's ahead of schedule in his recovery from shoulder surgery. He said his shoulder has already returned to about 90 percent strength.
