Boston Red Sox RP Rich Hill (elbow) threw a bullpen session Thursday, Feb. 9, as he rehabs from Tommy John surgery. "Everything is going according to schedule," Hill said. "There's a long way to go still. Right now I'm throwing three-quarters sidearm. Prior to this I'd been throwing straight over the top. So we'll see as we progress what the team wants me to do." He's still a month away from being able to throw breaking balls, though. Hill could return to action sometime in June.

The Boston Red Sox re-signed RP Rich Hill (elbow) to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training Friday, Dec. 30. Hill is hoping to be ready for spring training after tearing the ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow June 1.

The Boston Red Sox decided to non-tender RP Rich Hill (elbow) Monday, Dec. 12, making him a free agent. Hill said he feels healthy after undergoing Tommy John surgery. He is now throwing from 120 feet. "It wouldn't surprise me if I was ready by April 5," Hill said.

The Boston Red Sox activated SP Junichi Tazawa (elbow) from the 60-day disabled list and optioned him to Double-A Portland Monday, June 27. In a corresponding move, the team moved RP Rich Hill (elbow) to the 60-day DL.

The Boston Red Sox placed RP Rich Hill (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list Friday, June 3, and moved SP Daisuke Matsuzaka (elbow) to the 60-day disabled list. Hill is dealing with a sprained left elbow, but it is unknown if he will undergo Tommy John surgery.

Boston Red Sox RP Rich Hill (forearm) underwent an MRI exam after the game Wednesday, June 1, and initial exams show that the injury might not be as serious as first thought. The team doesn't think he has a torn ulnar collateral ligament, which would put him out for a full year.
