The Kansas City Chiefs announced Tuesday, July 22, that the National Football League has placed free-agent LB Aden Durde on the team's roster as an international developmental player for 2008.

NFLEurope.com reports the Cincinnati Bengals have placed LB Aden Durde on their practice squad. The third year of NFL International Development Practice Squad program will see teams in the NFC East and AFC North divisions each carry an NFLEL national player on their practice squad roster for the duration of the upcoming campaign. Durde spent last season with the Carolina Panthers as part of the program.

Pat Yasinskas, of the Charlotte Observer, reports Carolina Panthers practice squad LB Aden Durde has left the team after testing positive for a banned steroid, according to a team announcement. Durde, who is from England and was assigned to the Panthers as part of an international development program, issued a public apology. "In England I bought and ingested a supplement that, without my knowledge, contained the banned substance," Durde said. "I apologize to the NFL and to the Carolina Panthers for this mistake because in no way did I intend for this to happen."

The Associated Press reports the Carolina Panthers have been assigned LB Aden Durde, from Great Britain. Durde, who will be assigned to the practice squad for the full 2005 season, was assigned as part of the International Development Practice Squad program.
