Cleveland Indians RP Chris Ray elected not to exercise his out clause, and reported to Triple-A Columbus Sunday, April 1. He posted an 11.70 ERA in nine spring appearances, and was reassigned to the team's minor league camp Friday, March 30.

Cleveland Indians general manager Chris Antonetti said Friday, March 30, that he anticipates RP Chris Ray starting out with Triple-A Columbus. Ray has an out clause that can take place by April 3, but the GM doesn't expect Ray to use it.

Seattle Mariners RP Brandon League (calf) threw on flat ground and in the bullpen Wednesday, June 22, after being hit by a line drive on the side of his right calf Tuesday, June 21. "I'll be ready," League said. He felt much better Wednesday and walked without a limp. If League is unavailable, manager Eric Wedge will play the matchups and could go with either RPs David Pauley, Aaron Laffey or Chris Ray in a save situation.
