Indians | Michael Brantley showing signs

Wed, 04 May 2016 17:50:44 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Michael Brantley went 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI during Cleveland's 4-0 win over the Detroit Tigers Wednesday, May 4.

Fantasy Tip: Brantley is just 4-for-24 with a single extra-base hit to start the season, and it seems he is taking some time to work his way back following shoulder surgery and starting the season on the disabled list. If there are any buy-low windows still open, you should pounce. And Brantley owners should remain patient because it's rare to find five-category contributors. He averaged 76 runs, 15 home runs, 85 RBI and 18 stolen bases with a .308/.366/.462 slash line from 2013 through 2015, after all.

Indians | Michael Brantley not in lineup

Mon, 25 Apr 2016 15:01:00 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Michael Brantley (shoulder) is not in the lineup Monday, April 25, versus Minnesota Twins SP Tommy Milone.

Fantasy Tip: It's possible the reason Cleveland is still holding him out is to not trot him out there against a left-handed pitcher in his first game back. Nonetheless, Brantley will carry standout potential as soon as he is unleashed, as don't forget this is someone capable of being an MVP candidate when playing at the top of his game. Owners in weekly leagues should fire him up right away despite the fact he'll be missing tonight's festivities.

You can return him to your seasonal lineups immediately, but it also isn't out of the question to give him a game or two to find his groove at the highest level. He is a risky start in daily contests until he shows signs of life at the dish.
